Libratherm offers low-cost, rugged, and reliable Flameproof Humidity Transmitter – HX-440-FLP-DM for sensing only RH and transmitting the proportional analog value in the form of (4-20)mA or (0-10)VDC. The electronics part of the transmitter is housed in the FLP (Flameproof) head or junction box. so that it can be used in hazardous conditions.
Normally, the signal generated by T+RH sensors is low in strength hence cannot be transmitted over a very long distance, and if done so the signal is likely to drop over a very long cable which will result in the inaccurate measurement of Temperature and %RH.
The transmitter featured here converts these low-level signals from Pt-100 and RH sensor to the equivalent signal of 4-20mA/0-10VDC, which can be transmitted over a very long distance without loss of accuracy in the measurement.
These transmitters operate typically on a 24Vdc power supply (offers a wide range of 18 to 36VDC) and housed in an Aluminum die-casted flameproof head with a suitable length of SS extension pipe duly perforated for inserting the sensor in the Air duct area. The 24VDC supply and 4-20mA are electrically isolated from each other and hence prevent any ground line interferences or loading effect, while connecting to any external measuring/controlling devices like DCS, PLC, HMI or BMS controller DDC, PID, or On/Off controllers. A Standard 2-meter long cable with the end terminal is brought out from a suitable gland attached to the head for ease of connection and wiring.
